Explore the depths of Americana ‘one fun, trippy tune at a time’ with New York’s Slambovian Circus of Dreams this summer.

One of the greatest (and wildest) shows we’ve had here at TLR was without doubt New York’s Slambovian Circus of Dreams back in June 2024. Well, they’re back! They were a pleasure to work with and brought joy and laughter to a full house and we can’t wait to see them again. Grab your tickets for what will be another spectacular!

If you don’t know them, take a look at a video from the night by Keith Belcher of the band doing TransSlambovian Bipolar Express, along with a parade of pirates and jellyfish, and a standing ovation at the end.

Slambovian Circus of Dreams

The Slambovians’ history in the UK goes back to 2008, with this tour being their 13th trip across the pond! Once again, they plan to bring good vibes, songs and a bit of magic to new audiences as well as devoted fans. This year band returns to the UK following successful 2022 and 2024 tours where they were voted “Best Band” by fans and promoters alike. With vocals described as ‘soothing and bewitching as a snake oil tonic’, Joziah Longo leads the festivities while Tink Lloyd (accordion, cello, flute) charms and guitarist/mandolin wizard Sharkey McEwen mixes up the magic Slambovian brew with RJ McCarty (keys, banjo), Bob Torsello (bass), and Matthew Abourezk (drums).

Voted ‘Best Band’ in their home state of New York by Chronogram Magazine, the Slambovians' exciting live shows are legendary. Rootsy, rockin’ psychedelia, fantastic stories and songs are the perfect vehicle for this Woodstock-tinged Americana. A cool mix of Southern Rock, Celtic and British folk is combined with solid songwriting, earning them a chapter in 2025’s Rock & Roll Underdogs, a music history profile of great bands of the 20th century!

‘They’re the kind of band you don’t just listen to – you become part of their universe.’- Karl Sharicz, Rock & Roll Underdogs (2025 Palmetto Publishing)

‘A perfect bridge between past and present, keeping the authenticity, storytelling and countercultural mindset of the sixties alive while still making it their own.’ - Rock & Roll Underdogs

‘A breath of fresh air in a sometimes-stagnant world - especially as a live act - with varied eclectic influences and great musicianship. Plus moustaches, hats and stage presence gild their interesting and thought-provoking lyrics for the curious adult mind.’ – Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull

‘Great songs and a whole lotta heart’ – Meg Griffin, SiriusXM

‘Simply one of the finest American bands’ – All Music

‘The best band since the Beatles’ – Jim Pons, bassist: Frank Zappa, John Lennon
